I'm not kidding when I say.......

This post contains gifted items and affiliate links - this is not part of my paid partnership with New Look and I've chosen these pieces myself.
........New Look are nailing dresses this season. I have to admit that I saw this animal print dress online but it didn't grab me (as so often the case with brands website photos don't you agree?). However I saw it in my local store yesterday and it literally turned my head! When I tried it on I would have happily walked out of the store wearing it......I loved it even more once I tried it on. I've had three compliments about it today so I'm already considering it to be a wardrobe winner.

Whilst we are on the subject of New Look, I have been gifted a few basics. I have chosen these as I know they will be great spring/summer staples to bolster my wardrobe. First up is this blazer. It's lightweight.....so perfect as an extra layer for the chillier mornings and evenings as we transition into summer. It's unlined, has a 3/4 sleeve and is single breasted......with pockets :0) Say no more!

These are another mainstay of summer top arsenal.......an absolute wardrobe no-brainer! Comes in a ton of different colours.

And here we have a style of trouser I wax lyrical about all of the time! Utility. The office I work in means I can wear casual clothing.......these are absolute workwear heroes for me!

Now. This was not one of the gifted items.....you will have already seen this black pleated skirt many times which is why I felt it deserved a mention here. It's back in stock online. It is one of those "if in doubt' items that no wardrobe should be without. When I have those days when I just don't what to wear, this is my failsafe......worn with stripes and trainers, it just makes me feel pulled together.

What wardrobe items would you not want to be without? I'd love to hear!

Back tomorrow with my outfit of day!
