gold-on!

The color du jour......yellow. This sunny shade is well and truly on my radar and I'm desperate to get a little injection of it in my wardrobe. Originally I had set my heart on getting myself a coat or jacket but having tried a few different shades I'm not sure I've found the right one yet.......or whether I have the confidence to carry it off since I'm a bit shy when it comes to anything bright!  However, since I have had a lot of success with all things red of late I figure the easiest way to incorporate a little of this colour into my wardrobe is by way of a new bag!

Which one though....they all pack a bit of a punch in the sunny stakes! The H&M one does have the edge as I'm a sucker for a bit of silver hardware! Decisions, decisions! Which is your favourite?

Another way of smuggling a hint of this colour into my wardrobe would be to break it up with another colour.....enter the stripes! We all love a good stripe don't we! The trusty Breton style is perfect just what my wardrobe needs to liven up some of my grey and navy ensembles....it's not too bright so I am well within my comfort zone!

It's not a very extensive list here.....but baby steps until I'm fully onboard with this trend! Are you participating in a bit of yellow this season or is there another colour floating your boat?

The usual outfit round-up...we are still taking one step forward and two steps back with the weather!
As much as I love this outfit I am so over wearing the coats and boots!

It's a short and sweet one from me this evening! It's been a quiet week on the purchase front....though these and these have found their way into my possession! I'm on a dress-shopping mission next for a special occasion....my father-in-law turns 80 this week and so there is a party on the horizon! I'll keep you posted on my findings!

Back soon!

  1. I think the M&S bag gets my vote - the brightest shape and a lovely shape, though would prefer it to be leather! I love yellow, until a few years a go red was always my colour pop of choice and then yellow caught my eye and its been love ever since! When I was younger I hated yellow! I've got a yellow Hush sloppy joe and a Boden yellow cashmere crew neck, as well as some yellow pumps which I am on a mission to replace. I've tried yellow trousers , dresses and skirts and jackets but with the exception of a yellow rain mac I don't feel right in that amount of yellow! Enjoy your search fOr all things yellow! X

    1. I do love the shape of the M&S one....it's so similar to the little red Gap one in the pic above that has been so useful! I think I am erring more on the side of mustard than yellow though which is why the H&M appeals. I've ordered it so you'll probably find out whether it's a winner or not by the weekend. Ohh then there's the fact that the mustard bag would look lovely with the New Look Breton.....you can see where this is going can't you! ;0) xx
