when you realise you've been looking for one of those!

And so my love-in with M&S continues....carrying on from my last post. I can't remember the last item of clothing I bought from there.....now I have purchased 4 items in as many days! When I got back from my little jaunt to Brighton on Sunday I hared off into town again to pick up the slip dress I blogged about here. After spending a few hours on the train to Brighton I had plenty of time to fully immerse myself in some of the apps on my phone that I've neglected for a while. I enjoyed a leisurely peruse over my Pinterest boards. It was then I realised that I'd been hankering after the aforementioned slip dress for a while......

You see, there are so many things you can do with this style of dress. I might not have the occasion to dress up that much but this style is ideal for those day to evening look. Personally I'm going to get a ton more wear out of it by donning it with my Converse, Adidas or Superga, ballet pumps and flat sandals. I love it with the biker jacket it, I've also tried and worn with my camo jacket here......

Love the dress, very versatile, as shown by your blog/photos, plus the price is (to quote brucie) right! Can I ask, sizing, is it a smaller/larger/true to size..... I'm usually a 6-8 in M&S but that's mainly because their sizes are cut quite generously for me, however, I'd like the slip to be slightly loose ie not bodycon!! How would you advise, many thanx, Lindsey Herts xxxx

    1. Hi Lindsey! It's a fab dress isn't it....such a good price...you are right! ;0) I've got the size 10 which would be normal size in a dress, I think the sizing is pretty spot on with this. It is a little bit big around the bust for me but I have no chest to speak of! The size 8 was better around the bust but was just too clingy round the tum for my liking. Hope that helps! xx

  3. Michelle, how tall are you?! I'm so tempted by this dress but don't want it above the knee (I'm 5'10). xx

    1. Hi Lou! I'm 5ft 6". I think it will probably hit you right on the knee! I have toyed with taking the frill off the bottom on mine thus making it a bit shorter....will have to build myself up to doing that kind of alteration but for the price of the dress it wouldn't bother me to customise it to my liking! :0) xx
