fashionistas favourite - the cape

I have to admit that I thought this would be one trend that would pass me by as I've previously thought the cape might be a bit of a dressy wardrobe addition for my mainly school run attire! However, I stand corrected after seeing this gorgeous offering from none other than F&F at Tesco clothing! It comes in navy or camel.....personally I think it looks a bit more luxe in the navy, though I've yet to see it in the flesh! It's a great reasonable price at £29 if you just want to dip your toe in this trend. With the double your voucher value on Clubcard boost at the moment you could end up with an absolute bargain ;0)

I adore navy and burgundy as a colour combo at the moment so this is how I'd style it for the school run......

How about this lovely faux fur collar to add a bit of wow factor to this ensemble! This is a bargain too at £5 from New Look!!

Tempted by the cape this season? I am about to cave in the name of research as I love this look and the weather is certainly mild enough to wear this kind of outfit at the moment, it'd certainly be a change to what I'm currently wearing as I'm stuck in an uninspired rut! I've been really under the weather this week so my outfits have been much of a muchness but here goes......

  4. Wow that cape looks fab Michelle...I can't get over the price!! I often use the club card points for a free dine out midweek with the family....We seem to get lots of points with petrol, and its surprising how quickly they add up!
Hope your feeling a bit better, its miserable to feel under the weather at this time of year, especially when there is so much to do!

    1. The cape is a bit of a show-stopper and getting it for next to nothing on the Clubcard boost.....well it's got to be done! ;0)
I'm thankfully starting to feel a bit better....stupidly I thought I'd have one or 2 days feeling a bit rough but it's been more like a week! At least the worst of it is over! Kind of you to ask! xx

  5. Well I do admit I'm surprised at you going for a cape, but I'm pretty certain you'll look amazing, and you've already found the perfect way to style it for the school run! Can't wait to see you modelling it! You've done better than me outfit-wise this week - I haven't even bothered taking any pictures as I'm boring myself with the endless jeans and jumper combo's :-D Get well soon lovely xx

  6. Well Michelle, even though you're under the weather you have still inspired me to order this Tesco cape. I've been looking for one for a while and at this price it's a no-brainer especially using Clubcard Boost! Had to go for an XS as the S had sold out but figured that as its a loose fit it should be fine and if not I shall return it ;) Hope you're feeling better soon. Your outfits still look fab by the way! I need to get myself into gear with my blog - posts are few and far between at the mo ...xx

    1. Ahh Sue...thanks but it took me days to get this post on the go! I spotted the cape in one of the glossy Sunday supplements but my fuggy, head cold meant I couldn't get my act together enough to scrape a post up together, so I know exactly what you mean!! This cape really is a fab little wardrobe addition....fingers crossed it works out for you! xx

Thanks! Awaiting your next post as per usual. Love how you use High Street stores as opposed to shops where items are beyond the averaged salaried person. Not all of us can afford splurge pieces that would equivilate to the monthly mortgage payment! Obviously not downing any of those bloggers, good luck to them! Just wish I could fund Toga Pullas or a Gucci Disco bag or at least find a man that would (in my dreams!) ;)
