holiday treats!

So this half term we were lucky enough to grab a week in Spain! The weather forecast was good on the whole but on our first full day, we had rain by the bucket load :0( Never one to miss an opportunity to go wild in the aisles off I skipped to a fab 3 storey shopping center! After safely installing the hubby in a bar with his newspaper and kicking off the purchases with a few treats for my DD, I managed a couple of hours of retail therapy on my own! I already had a little wishlist compiled, I was after a coat and some jeans from Zara, I managed to check those off the list, though I didn't quite get what I was planning on! I was after a berry coatigan that I had been eyeing up on the UK website. Alas though, it was no-where to be seen but it was obviously not meant to be as once I clapped eyes on this knitted coat.......well, it was a case of be still my beating heart and just like that the berry one was a distant memory.

As modelled here by moi.....rotten photo quality I know, but you get the gist.....I just can't get the staff these days! ;0) Back to the land of mirror selfies me-thinks!

Onto the second item on the list........I bought some washed black biker jeans with zips, I can't find the black version on the Zara website, but these seem to be the blue version! These are a great fit and something I'm sure to live in over the months ahead!

Next up! A meander around Mango produced a tad more Winter boho in the way of a blouse. I warn you.....this pic does not do it justice at all! It is so much better in real life! I have high hopes for it as I love the black, grey and camel colour palette, it will slot in perfectly in the wardrobe. I'm thinking it will look fab with flares and my black fur gilet or black skinnies, ghillie flats with a camel coat thrown over the top!

After a flit around Pull & Bear I ended up with this cardy, which really reminds me of something I often see on some of my favourite French Instagrammers here and here so there was no way this wasn't coming home with me!

Fab with hi-tops and black ripped skinnies.....just like this!

The last 2 purchases are in the way of accessories from Pull & Bear who had a brilliant selection of scarves, I will be going to my local store to check out what stock they have as I had trouble deciding which one to get but this one won me over on the day, it's the same black, grey and camel colour palette as the Mango top and I absolutely love it!

Last but not least I bagged me a bit of leopard print. I've been after a belt for a while and this was such a bargain at 5.99 euros!

Pleased as punch with my haul, with the fab exchange rate I managed to bag this little lot for just over 100 GBP! All things that will loads of wear out of as I've stuck with my beloved neutrals again!

Back to a few of my holiday outfits. I'll be honest and say that I wished I had packed a bit differently. I took too many dressy items. In hindsight I would have taken more separates for evenings as the evenings are a lot cooler so a couple of pairs of jeans to mix 'n' match with some dressier tops would have sufficed. I'll know for next time!

The new Mango top and Zara jeans got their first airing right away.

I slipped my Missguided dress in the case last minute and boy was I glad I did as Gracie insisted it would be perfect for Halloween! She was right too...we had a ball that night, the Spanish really know how to do spooky with style! p.s the daughters red arms are down to fake blood....it's not sunburn I promise you!

So, I am now back to reality and it's taking me forever to get through the piles of washing, ironing and housework......our holiday is fast becoming a distant memory! That said, it's time to plan the next holiday and of course with Christmas looming I'm already compiling my wish list!

Be back soon!
