Another itch scratched!l

I have tried....and failed with a many pair of culottes! I gave it one last shot with these from Warehouse and struck culotte gold!

Finally these nailed this trend for me. At last I found a pair that were the right length and texture, that don't feel too much like workwear and that can be dressed up or down......for all of 15 quid! Happy days!

Uniqlo shirt, past season

I prefer the fluid look of these, they look like a midi skirt which is great as I have really fallen in love with skirts this season. Thankfully it looks as though the culottes are here to stay as I spotted this pic in Grazia, in this weeks issue.

What I've been wearing these past few days.......

H&M t-shirt, current not online
Topshop trousers, past season
Converse, ancient buy here though

Zara top, current season,
Zara Army trousers, current season
Kurt Geiger Laurel's, past season

Zara dress, past season
Kurt Geiger Kads
Mango bag, current season

Zara top, past season
Gap original fit jeans, past season

That's me done with the sales purchases! I'm looking forward to Autumn now and I'm eyeing up one or 2 things that will ease me through the transitional period. Are you still perusing what's left in the sales, waiting for the final markdowns or are you starting to look ahead at what's on offer for Autumn too?

As always I love reading and responding to your comments.

Until next time!

Michelle xx

  1. Those culottes were a steal Michelle. I haven't dipped a toe in this trend so will be interested to see how you style them.

    1. They were indeed a steal Jane! They aren't an item I was prepared to splurge on as it took so long to get the right style for me but for £15 I should easily get my wear out of them! I can't wait to see what other looks I can create with them too! xx

  3. Like you Michelle I have tried to find the perfect pair of culottes, as you say, they can look a bit formal. I hadn't looked at Warehouse....So guess where I am off to next?! Love how you tied the Uniqlo shirt too...So cool as always!

    1. They are quite a dress piece of clothing aren't they but I am going to do my best to really dress them down for maximum usage! I haven't bought anything in Warehouse for years, now a couple of excellent buys have come along at the same time, they have some great stuff at the moment. Thanks for the lovely comment Helen xx

    1. We are always onto the next thing aren't we Donna! I love Summer clothes but a lot of what's in my wardrobe has been in there for what seems like forever as we hardly get the chance to wear them! Yep, it's onward and forward planning the Autumn wardrobe....when we do get tons of wear out of cold wear clothing! xx

  5. Oh I don't want autumn to come just yet. I have too many pretty tops to get through!

The Warehouse culottes look fab on you. There are moments when I wished I'd kept the black M&S ones as they were such a great fit but I think in my heart of hearts, I know I wouldn't have gotten the wear out of them as they do seem a little more formal. And for some reason, I feel like I've only just started on the sales? There's no hope for me!

    1. I hear you Sue and I do want lots more opportunity to wear Summery stuff but I am done with buying it....officially fed up with looking at sale dregs now and look forward to seeing what trends will be hitting the shops ready for Autumn! I'm only planning to replace some footwear (as you know!) and I know I'm after a couple of bits of Uniqlo merino again this year....nothing groundbreaking so far, just filling a few gaps! Hopefully the culottes will see me through the tricky transitional phase, I'm looking at other footwear options to make sure I can wear them when it gets a bit cooler! xx

  7. Just finished browsing the H&M sale for my post tomorrow.. so no I haven't stopped with the sales!! These culottes look great on you. I've got some M&S black ones that I love and some Topshop denim ones too which admittedly are a little tight on the waist but who knows the button is undone when hidden by a belt?!

    1. Off to check out your blog....it's so hard to keep up with everything whilst we career towards the school holidays! I did try some M&S ones but the fabric was quite thick......I'd love a pair of denim ones too but I'd better be good for the foreseeable! xx

  12. Michelle i have been on the hunt for culottes with the very same premise as you. Not to work like, not cut to the knee but longer, nice material etc. These are amazing. Gutted i didn't snaffle these up! You look fantastic, as always!XX
