Fancy joining me for a spot of fab inspiration?

Ladies, if you are looking for a fab source of inspiration I may have just the thing for you! If you like sharing....even better! Read on.....

You already know that I rely heavily on Pinterest and Instagram for outfit ideas, I follow tons of blogs and can often be caught stealing style from my fellow blogging friends too ;0) Those of you who may have followed me from the beginning will know I started my outfit sharing journey on an amazing website called Avenue 57, run by the lovely Fiona Blake. Avenue 57 is no longer in it's original form but it is still around in a fab new format! There is tons of inspiration to be had here, some great advice........if you want it you can ask for it! There is plenty of sharing of outfits, clothing inspiration, and lots of superb info on High Street deals and voucher codes to be had. You can join in the fun as Fiona has now set up a closed group on Facebook to take advantage of all that Avenue 57 has to offer! I am now going to show a tiny slice of what superb inspiration there is on offer!

You may remember that a couple of posts back that I purchased some fab glittery harem trews from H&M! Now, I bought these for any Christmas do's I may have coming up, they were such a great buy at £9.99, I wouldn't worry if I only wore them once or twice! Anyway this amazing lady has shown me the way! I just love the way she has completely dressed them down....something I would never have dreamed of doing! There was me trying to smarten them up with a tux style jacket and heels when I actually think the way to go with them is the complete opposite! I haven't copied this styling garment for garment but this sowed the seed for an outfit I could put together out of a couple of new purchases I have made which is just brilliant!!

So if you want to join in the A57 fun just follow the link here to sign up. As I said, it is a closed group, whilst your friends on Facebook will be able to see that you have posted they won't be able to see what you have posted on A57. A huge thank you to Natalie (I did ask permission to use her photo!) Natalie, I think you look fantastic in all of your outfits and thank you for making me think outside the box with the H&M trousers! I do love to give credit where it is due! Doesn't she look great ladies?!

Here is my take what Natalie has done so brilliantly above!!

I bought this gorgeous Zara sweater whilst on my little jolly to Brum last weekend with my lovely shopping buddy Jane from My Midlife Fashion

Converse black hi top via Surfdome (20% off with ILOVEWINTER & Free Delivery!) thanks to this superb inspiration from Pinterest!

Thought I'd best share the inspo behind my other outfits this week! Again, I've just *borrowed* elements of this ensemble aka leopard print coat and the new Converse hi tops!

M&S Limited Edition coat (current, here, 20% off with code NOV14A2, hurry though as this ends 24th November)
Pull & Bear sweatshirt (Spring 2014, similar here)
ASOS Ridley jeans (Current, here)
Converse black hi top via Surfdome (20% off with ILOVEWINTER & Free Delivery!)
H&M snood (current, here)

Last but not least on the outfit front is this combo which is another of my favourites from the past few weeks. Now again, I merely needed a nod in the right direction to put these pieces together and this came courtesy of the lovely Sharron from Style At Every Age here! Sharron gave me the gentle prod to put together a collarless coat over a Breton as it is easy to forget what you have when your wardrobe is fit to burst with stuff!! I love the results of this style stealing!!

Uniqlo urban fleece coat (Winter 2013, best alternative was from Primark on my last post here)
Boden Breton (current, here 25% off everything with code 3Y8Y)
ASOS Ridley jeans (Current, here)
H&M snood (current, here)
Anya Hindmarch Gracie Bag (Spring 2014 c/o The Outnet)

So ladies....are you going to join the ace group that is A57? There are a few familiar faces posting there as well as lots of newbies.....it would be rude not to right?!

As always I love reading and responding to your comments!

Be back soon!

Michelle xx

  4. Oh thankyou for the mention Michelle, I'm extremely flattered. There are so many lovely ladies on Avenue 57 it's hard not to find inspiration in everybody's individual style, including your own. Everybody is so friendly and helpful and happy to give honest opinions which I love. It's made me a little more confident and would recommend Avenue 57 to anybody who loves fashion or are looking for advice, inspiration, second opinions in a fun relaxed atmosphere. The ladies there have certainly helped me.
I love your styling of the trews, I picked that very same knit up in Zara, gorgeous, thick and heavy knit perfect for winter. I didn't purchase at the time but I think it may have to go on my Christmas wishlist! Fab styling as always.

    1. Avenue 57 is brilliant isn't it?! There are so many v.stylish ladies posting there and as you say everyone is so positive and helpful. I know that being part of A57 originally gave me the confidence to try new looks so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who loves clothes and fashion and fancies being part of the fun!
The Zara sweater is a must....as soon as I clapped eyes on it I loved it, I'm not generally that impulsive as I'm a typical Libran who tends to mull things over before purchasing! xx

  6. I LOVE what you've done with the harems Michelle!! Can I steal that one from you? 😉
The jumper is fabulous too, I've ordered the Boden Off Duty jumper (saw it on Lynne on A57 ☺) but if it's not right for me I'll be trying that one!

I couldn't agree more about Avenue 57, such a lovely bunch of ladies, and always with something kind to say. I'm kind of using it as a sounding board before I decide whether to put more outfit shots on the blog, and it's given me a lot of confidence - highly recommended!

    1. I am an inspiration junkie aren't I Helen?! I do love trying out new things which is mostly likely why I've become addicted to blogs, Pinterest, Instragram and now Facebook! Putting the harems and sweater together has definitely inspired me to try some other looks as these lines as I loved wearing these pieces together xx

  13. It's a really fun and lively place is Avenue57 isn't it? It's brought a lot of like minded ladies together and is a great place to get some advice if you're ever unsure of anything. And Natalie looks great doesn't she? Love both yours and her version of styling the harems.

  14. Love the posts where you take a Pinterest pic & recreate it - I find so many pins a bit unattainable...you make it a reality. Adore the grey jumper too - saw it the other day but my arms were full! Ax

    1. Thank you Avril! I'm on a roll with trying to re-create looks, I think it helps to try and do you own take on it rather than trying to copy garment for garment like what I have tried to do with all 3 looks here! I agree that some of the street style shots are just too hard to achieve! Can't wait to see what your arms were full of!! ;0) xx

Your Zara jumper looks great too as do the cons, I have some white hi-top cons which I have worn to death! Looking forward to catching-up tomorrow! :) x
