23 April 2014

Stealing Sienna's style.

Yesterday the latest H&M brochure plopped on my doormat and so I sat down with tea and chocolate for a peruse! Whilst I couldn't find anything to tempt me in the brochure I was enticed into browsing on their website as they are offering 30% off one item until Sunday 27th April  The first item I started looking for was in the knitwear department after seeing this ensemble on Sienna Miller. As you can probably tell my love for Pinterest is still going strong!

I came across this little bolero which I think would be pretty useful and would go a long way to recreating this look of Sienna's that I love!!

I know they have something similar in store in cream which would be great for a chillier evening over a boho- style dress and boots just like Sienna is wearing here! Sadly I can't find it online and the discount is online only.....darn it!

Moving away from H&M (we'll come bag to them in a minute!) but sticking with another fab look from Sienna!!

As I was trawling the net I came across these red boots from Pull & Bear on ASOS which reminded me of this fab shot of Sienna!! Now red boots are completely out of my comfort zone and it's totally the wrong time of year to be buying boots but I may well have ordered.....just for  research purposes you understand!! I already have a parka style jacket so I should also be able to replicate this look!

Back to H&M and that discount code! They also have a fab pair of boots very in-keeping with the Sienna styling!

Sticking with Sienna's boho vibe is this gorgeous suede fringed bag.

For those festival lovers amongst you this pink duffle bag would look ace at Glasto don't you think?!

So there is the quick round-up of all things Sienna that I would love to secure with the 30% off code......which item will I plump for, cardigan, boots or a bag?? Decisions, decisions!! Have you received the brochure and bookmarked some items you would like to snag?? The code is 1605 just in case you have a little something in mind! Happy shopping :0)

Ending with the usual round-up of what I have been wearing this past week starting with a day at the coast and a chance to get the legs out for the first time this year!!

Another week in clothes has flown by! I really have to knuckle down and start my search for a new job now as I am on the final countdown in my current employment. I have just 5 more weeks to go! So that means less time for shopping.....well that is the plan! Hopefully I won't be too distracted ;0)

Don't forget that I love reading your comments and responding to them!!

Until next time!

  1. I love a lot of Sienna Miller's looks and I adore the red boots. I am really into the idea of more colour in my footwear ( yellow shoe purchase, recently, and the Next red boots I have.) I love all your' looks particularly the seaside picture, so cool. H xx

It really does help me to pull looks together.....I so hope those red boots work out!! They are quite a bargain at £29.50 on ASOS!! Thank you for the lovely comment.....I hope you are having a superb week too! xx

How DO you use Pinterest then? What is the secret? I tend to search something like "boyfriend jeans" (eg) and net maybe one or more likely no pix at all. Is the trick to be less perfectionist, click on loads and sift later?

    1. Glad you ask!! Say for instance if you search Sienna Miller and lots of images come up, you click on which pins you like. Then f you scroll down you will be introduced to other boards that you might like. Keep scrolling though as you will come across the persons board from which the original pin came from and you will most likely find some more looks you like from the original pinner. If you do...start following their boards and whenever and whatever they pin will pop up in your home feed! If you follow the person you may see all their pins whether it be fashion, food or home stuff so you may want to follow their individual boards!! You can lose yourself for hours when you start but once you find like-minded style boards and follow them a lot of what you like will come to you without having to trawl for too long!! That's my experiance of it anyway! I hope this helps and makes sense!! If not give me another shout!! I will do my best to help you.....I promise it is worth persevering :0) x

Thanks, that makes sense. And explains why I even found a couple of people following me. At first I thought that was a bit cheeky of them and rather alarming; I looked round for a button to ask them politely not to. (There isn't one is there?) But I am wiser now and shamelessly follow complete strangers to steal their style. Ha!

    3. Glad you could make sense of it! It is such a useful tool and so much better than flicking through a magazine as at least with Pinterest you can direct your search. It's like an online scrapbook. You can also use secret boards if you don't want anyone to see what you are pinning! Enjoy :0) x

I think I need those taupe boots in my life too....I think they would work with a boyfriend jeans for me.....a look I haven't tried for fear of not getting it right but I think those boots could be just the job!! xx

    1. Thank you Abbi! Love the bolero...I normally would wear jeans on a night out so that outfit is right up my street! I should have asked you how those temperatures were shaping up that day as you are from that neck of the woods!! I hold my hands up and say it wasn't quite warm enough for that little dress that day.....I was freezing!! All in the name of fashion ehh?!! xx

  11. Sienna has a lovely relaxed style about her doesn't she? It all seems to work regardless of what she's wearing - I don't think I've ever seen a bad picture of her.

And I have a code burning away and not sure what to buy - isn't that always the way. Now if they had a code at Mango - I could do some damage there!

I think my pickings at H&M are just the tip of the iceberg but I reigned my search in a bit as I have been doing some serious damage everywhere this month!! :0) xx

  12. I ADORE the look on the front page of the catalog of H&M - the shorts and pin stripe shirt!
I also am still spitting with jealousy at THAT Zara jacket!

Your hair has grown so much - why doesn't mine grow as fast????

    1. Yep.....the cover is so very enticing for H&M magazine!!
The Zara jacket still seems to be going strong.....I was afraid it would be a one season wonder but there are still lots of quilted jackets around!!
The barnet is in dire need of a trim Fiona....it feels out of control!! xx

  13. Love that pink bag. And as always you look fab in all your outfits. I have to say I've given up on H&M - I can never find anything when I go in store and they don't deliver to Ireland. But I'm amused to hear that you're ordering boots ... I was considering doing the same and wondered was I mad at this time of year. Cream ones though (she says, madly trying to justifiy them) and let's face it ... summer in Ireland only lasts about 3 days if we're lucky!

    1. I haven't been lucky instore lately because I haven't had the patience to have a good root around H&M!! Once I had the inspiration to know what I was looking for I found some good stuff online!! I just get put off ordering online as returns are such a faff!!
Glad I am not the only one thinking about boots.....though I really don't need any as I haven't worn any all Winter!! xx

  15. I am having a hissy fit that I haven't had my brochure yet... grrrrr......! But I digress - you look amazing in that breton dress and hat - totally totally love it. I had a couple on my blog yesterday and I'm so pleased to see that it works dressed down too. You will ROCK those red boots - they are a fabulous buy for you xxx

    1. Gosh I hope you had the brochure by now Kat!! I think I can only get away with dressing the Uniqlo Breton dress down as it would be a tad short to wear with heels.....I have actually taken the hem down a little since but I love it with the flats and it will be fab with flat sandals when we get some warmer weather!!
The boots have arrived....I shall be doing a show and tell v.soon! xx
